About Frank J. Swetz
A graduate of Teachers College Columbia University, New York; Dr. Swetz spent 28 years teaching Mathematics and Education at the Pennsylvania State University.
Frank has traveled extensively throughout the world both as an educator; teaching and lecturing, and also as a reasearcher. His visits to cultural and historic sites have served as resources for his research into the historical development of mathematics education.
While teaching in Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines as a Fulbright Scholar he has examined and written about the relationships of culture and mathematics.
He currently serves as the feature editor of Mathematical Treasures for The Mathematics Association of America e-journal Convergence.
